The process usually takes around 6 months, but it is usual not to finalise the divorce until a financial agreement has been reached. Wherever possible we shall try and agree the wording of the divorce petition with your spouse to enable the divorce to move forward without delay and avoid unnecessary acrimony. We will advise you on costs and procedure and will advise further once decree absolute has been pronounced.
The legal formality for getting a divorce is a relatively straight forward process. What is generally less straight forward is sorting out the practical issues, such as where each party will live, how the assets are to be split, and arrangements for any children. Before agreeing matters with your husband or wife, it is wise to seek our advice about your rights and the options available to you.
We will advise you on costs and agree our fees openly with you.
This is a complex area of the law and requires expert advice. Please contact us on 0203 733 0428 or info@roselegal.co.uk to arrange an initial consultation to discuss the best way forward for you and we will provide you with further and specific advice tailored to your circumstances. Our experienced and understanding team are here to help you.
We will work with you to ensure the best possible outcome.

Road Traffic Accident
Road accidents are the most common cause of injury, costing thousands of lives, 40,000 serious injuries, three million NHS bed days, trauma, illness and absenteeism. Whether you are a driver, passenger, pedestrian, motorcyclist or pedal cyclist, you will have a valid claim providing we can prove that the road traffic accident was someone else’s fault.
It is therefore important to gather and keep as much evidence as possible including names and addresses of other parties involved and any witnesses, insurance details of other drivers, vehicle registrations numbers and photographs showing vehicle damage, position of vehicles after the accident etc. If the other driver is uninsured or unidentified or the accident was a result of an oil spillage we can still assist you in claiming compensation through the Motor Insurers Bureau.
However, if the police did not attend the accident and do not have the insurance details you should report the incident to the police without delay. Some accidents occur due to the condition of the highway, Local Authorities have a duty to maintain the highway and so you may be able to claim compensation if the accident occurred due to a pothole or an obstruction on the highway such as overgrown shrubbery.
Please remember that you are under no obligation to use the solicitors appointed by your insurance company.
Please contact us on 0208 974 7490 or info@roselegal.co.uk for a consultation to discuss the best way forward for you and we will provide you with further and specific advice tailored to your circumstances.
