Additionally, Marie-Cecilia regularly advises on matters involving arrangements for children, injunctive relief and relocation orders.

Marie-Cecilia is aware that a relationship breakdown is a highly stressful life event. Ensuring that all matters are dealt with sensitively and with the necessary care and compassion are hallmarks of Marie-Cecilia’s practice. Marie-Cecilia prides herself in being a client-centric solicitor who is responsive and approachable.

Relevant experience:

Since her admission in 2019, Marie-Cecilia has practiced exclusively in family law in leading private and Government-funded firms.  Her practice covers all aspects of family law. Marie-Cecilia is equally adept in resolving matters with conciliatory and constructive methods of dispute resolution and in litigating proceedings where it is appropriate.

Career:

Marie-Cecilia studied at Macquarie University, Australia and obtained a double degree of Bachelor of Law (Hons) and Bachelor of Arts Psychology in 2018. She subsequently obtained a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice (GDLP) at the College of Law, Australia and was admitted to practice as a Solicitor in October 2019.

Marie-Cecilia has particular expertise in dealing with complex child abuse, neglect and family violence, having worked at various outreaches and trauma focused services in the past.

Prior to her admission, Marie-Cecilia was employed as a Practice Manager of a top-tier medicolegal practice and assisted in the preparation and execution of expert reports for family court, care and protection, immigration and criminal proceedings.

Marie-Cecilia Ferreira joined Rose & Rose in February 2023 and is supervised by Zubair Dharamsi.
