What does this mean for local buyers or sellers?
Despite changes to the stamp duty threshold, as outlined in our previous article ‘The Stamp Duty Threshold Drop Explained’, the local property market remains active. Therefore, buyers and sellers should be prepared.
In a competitive property market, having the right legal support is vital. Delays, missed deadlines, or complex issues discovered in property surveys can impact on the completion of the sale or purchase. Involving a qualified solicitor from the start of the process can make a real difference in ensuring the transaction runs smoothly.
What does this mean for local landlords and tenants?
The cost of renting a property within the borough is also on the rise, highlighting that rental properties are still in high demand. For landlords or tenants, understanding your legal rights is essential, especially if a dispute arises over rent arrears or breaches of leasehold terms.
